Grade Catalogue
Start with the work, then choose the family. Blasting prepares a surface before a following operation, so compare the substrate, the material to remove and the required profile. Waterjet cutting uses garnet as the cutting media; compare the part, its thickness and the edge objective, then move through the catalogue from general work to finer cutting. Filtration uses layers in a designed bed: 4-8 mesh is the coarse support layer, 8-20 mesh is the intermediate support layer, while 20/40 and 30/60 mesh are fine garnet layer options. The 30/60 mesh grade therefore serves several catalogue uses: standard blasting, general waterjet cutting and a fine garnet layer in filtration. Its role changes with the family, so do not treat the same mesh name as a universal instruction. Review each grade with its neighbouring option before choosing. Ask for a grade data sheet with the intended application, existing bed arrangement or part details, and required quantity; the contact team can review that information with the request.
